Biography

Tuğçe Arıöz is an artist of Circassian origin. She graduated from the Department of Art History at Hacettepe University in 2011. She began her professional career in various fields, particularly in art direction and documentary filmmaking, which were rooted in her early ambition to become a director. The visual and auditory experience she gained during this period laid the foundation for her contemporary art production. In her works, she employs various forms of expression such as oil painting, digital collage, manipulation, and video art. Over time, she began to evolve her artistic practice through technology, developing an interdisciplinary approach by integrating digital production tools and artificial intelligence into her art in a unique way.

In Arıöz’s works, senses, memory, intuition, dreams, and subconscious imagery come to the forefront. By bringing together themes such as quantum physics, Sufism, collective rituals, sociophysics, and existence, she establishes multi-layered new relationships between the visible and the invisible. She seeks to transcend ordinary narratives of daily reality and aims to reveal, one by one, the truths hidden within emotions and symbolic memory. She describes the Art of Imperfection as the “excitement, secret, and humor” of life.

Her first digital and recorded works entered the collection of the Dr. Gökhan Gündoğdu Museum. In 2023, she took part in group exhibitions at Taksim Art Gallery, Evin Art Gallery, Artİstanbul Feshane, and 42 Maslak. In 2024, she held an online exhibition at Qartspace. Most recently, she participated in EArt Gallery’s group exhibition titled “The Possibility of Exceptions.” The exhibition will be on view throughout December 2025 and January 2026.

The artist’s digital productions and AI-integrated works have attracted significant attention, particularly in Europe. She has received personal invitations to prominent international art events, including Paris Art Capital, Art Shopping – Carrousel du Louvre, Art3f Monaco – Contemporary Art Fair, and Milano Art Fair. Most recently, she opened her first solo exhibition, titled “Digital Whispers of Memory,” at Digitaliseum in Malmö, Sweden, following an invitation from the institution. The exhibition will be on display from December 2025 until the end of April 2026.
